The village of Ano Kalathenes, with its beautiful views of the mountains and the Bay of Kissamos, is surrounded by wonderful walking country and is only 5 minutes drive from the gorge of Topolia. It is also within easy reach of beaches, cafes, tavernas, and shopping facilities, although the village kafenion does sell a variety of essential daily items.
